Job Description

The Field Service Technician maintains retail store technologies and computer systems, performing installations, repairs, and support services for Toshiba and non-Toshiba retail products in various commercial environments. Responsibilities include product installation, troubleshooting, and customer communication, with a focus on meeting customer commitments and minimizing disruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and services on products in assigned territory
  • Install equipment in new and/or remodeled sites
  • Perform maintenance on supported equipment
  • Troubleshoot and fix complex problems over the phone
  • Travel to customer locations for installations and modifications
  • Communicate with customers and team members
  • Plan and schedule work to meet objectives
  • Document installation activities
  • Manage trunk stock
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 4+ years of related experience
  • IT/Technical degree or certificate preferred
  • 100% travel, domestic and/or air travel
  • Operational knowledge of computer technology and retail devices
  • General knowledge and experience in IT service and support
  • Mechanical aptitude with competency in electricity & electronics
  • Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly
  • Good Customer Service skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to recognize and understand IT signal and power cables
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic
  • Problem solving and Organizational skills
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Ability to work varying shifts
