Job Description

Flexport is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and manage operations and a team in their fulfillment center, shaping the future of logistics. The role involves team leadership, ensuring safety, managing performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, manage, and develop a team of associates and managers
• Communicate policies and ensure compliance
• Create and support recognition programs
• Implement safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance
• Establish and enforce security and loss prevention procedures
• Manage performance reporting, including on-time receiving and shipping
• Hold team to Service Level Agreement (SLA) expectations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues
• Act as an escalation point for risk mitigation
• Identify and address inventory accuracy gaps
• Analyze defect rates and recommend improvements
• Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Work with Growth and Engineering teams to resolve problems

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
• Willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
• Comfort working in varying noise levels
