Job Description

The Store Manager motivates and inspires the team to achieve store productivity goals by analyzing business and market trends and creating strategies to drive sales. They lead a team, manage payroll, and control expenses.

Responsibilities

  • Assume overall responsibility for the store
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers
  • Demonstrate desired behaviors for staff
  • Maintain a strong leadership presence
  • Ensure company standards are met
  • Prioritize, plan, and adjust schedules
  • Review payroll and ensure appropriate staffing
  • Plan and execute merchandising
  • Coach team and provide feedback
  • Utilize company tools to improve performance
  • Ensure staff training and knowledge
  • Manage and assess staff performance
  • Forecast business to meet sales goals
  • Enforce company policies
  • Manage store expenses
  • Manage and control shrink
  • Communicate with District Manager
  • Identify opportunities to drive traffic
  • Partner with corporate office
  • Create customer loyalty
  • Ensure correct pricing and displays
  • Receive vendor deliveries and stock sales floor

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in retail store management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizer and problem solver
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
