Pie Insurance is seeking a Senior Underwriter to assess risks, underwrite new coverage, and build customer relationships. The role involves making underwriting decisions, providing guidance, and contributing to the evolution of underwriting practices.

Responsibilities

• Assess risks and underwrite new coverage
• Evaluate submissions using underwriting guidelines
• Achieve profitable growth and maintain customer relationships
• Resolve customer inquiries

• Develop knowledge of forms, coverages, and manuals

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required
• 3-5+ years of insurance experience
• 3+ years of commercial auto underwriting experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Subject matter expert in underwriting
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Awareness of tasks and impact
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial auto
• Ability to handle high volume of transactions
• Ability to take initiative
• Seeking to streamline processes
• Verifying businesses using various resources
