Job Description

As a Financial Risk Analyst in Chicago, you will evaluate and manage financial risk from enterprise merchants and assess the risk of new products. You will help scale and innovate the financial risk management framework, working with Commercial, Product, and Legal teams to limit credit losses.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze merchant business models and financial health
• Provide credit risk advice to the Adyen credit risk committee
• Drive continuous improvement of the risk management framework
• Lead projects and find optimal solutions for merchants
• Share credit risk knowledge with Product, Legal, and Compliance teams
• Share Adyen’s approach to credit risk management with merchants, commercial teams, and regulators

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience in a financial risk environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to lead projects
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in payments or Fintech
• Strong data and analytic skills (SQL, Python, R a plus)
• University degree preferred in a quantitative field
