Job Description

Archer, an aerospace company, seeks a Senior Staff Engineer specializing in loads and dynamics for their all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The role involves supporting loads development, correlating simulation models, building loads databases, supporting aeroelastic analyses, defining design load cases, and participating in wind tunnel and flight tests.

Responsibilities

• Support loads development for propellers through rotordynamics simulations
• Correlate simulation models to wind tunnel, ground test, and flight test data
• Build static and fatigue loads databases
• Support aeroelastic analyses
• Define and develop vehicle design load cases
• Maintain associated loads related certification documentation
• Support wind tunnel and flight test planning and execution
• Collaborate with internal and external customers

Requirements

• MS / PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related fields
• 10+ years industry experience
• Expertise in helicopter rotor aeromechanics
• Experience with static and dynamic loads derivation
• Experience with rotor analysis software
• Proficiency in Python and/or Matlab scripting
• Experience with flight test loads data processing
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in a fast-paced design environment
