Job Description

Anthropic is seeking a Head of AI Infrastructure Accounting to lead the infrastructure accounting function, managing cloud computing, platform infrastructure, and data costs. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, developing scalable processes, and providing insights for strategic decision-making in a rapidly growing AI infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and reporting for AI infrastructure
• Develop a framework for infrastructure cost accounting
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Partner with technical teams to translate infrastructure requirements into financial terms
• Collaborate to improve data pipelines and reporting
• Design and scale systems and processes
• Support review of complex arrangements, including ASC 842
• Build and mentor an accounting team
• Act as liaison with external auditors
• Drive process improvements and automation
• Provide strategic insights on cost optimization

Requirements

• 12+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred
• Experience managing cloud computing or infrastructure costs
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly ASC 842
• Exceptional analytical abilities
• Proven track record of building financial processes
• Strong leadership skills
• Adept at translating technical concepts into financial implications
• Excellent communication skills
