Seeking an experienced Senior Variable Compensation Manager to design, implement, and manage Anthropic's variable compensation programs. The role involves creating compensation strategies, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring alignment with the company's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement variable compensation strategies
  • Partner with executive leadership on plan design
  • Draft compensation plan documents and communicate changes
  • Lead the selection and management of incentive compensation systems
  • Collaborate with Finance for budgeting and forecasting
  • Integrate variable compensation into total rewards strategy
  • Analyze market trends and compensation data
  • Develop governance frameworks and approval processes
  • Create reporting and analytics to measure program effectiveness
  • Build scalable processes and documentation

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in variable compensation design
  • Expertise in GTM incentive plan design
  • Ability to translate business strategy into compensation frameworks
  • Experience with incentive compensation management systems
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
