Job Description

Cloudflare is seeking a Datacenter Deployments Engineer to build and expand its global network. This role involves working with various teams and vendors to maintain and improve infrastructure, focusing on datacenter infrastructure, networking, Linux, and project management. The position requires strong technical and communication skills, with opportunities to contribute to a faster, safer Internet.

Responsibilities

• Provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network in new Cloudflare data centers
• Creating documentation and managing remote contractors for datacenter installations and upgrades
• Introducing cutting-edge technology and automation solutions
• Planning and implementing network and server installations
• Providing technical leadership and guidance during deployment activities
• Collaborating with internal teams for day-to-day activities
• Coordinating installation of cross-connects globally
• Assisting with the definition, documentation, and implementation of consistent processes
• Limited travel

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Center Operations, SRE, Linux systems administration, Network Engineering, or DevOps
• Familiarity with Data Center Operations tasks
• Experience with optical transport technologies
• Configuration management tool experience
• Network hardware administration
• Knowledge of Network Protocols, Topologies, and Enterprise architecture
• Experience writing network configuration and design documentation
• Experience solving problems through automation
• Ability to write scripts for internal tools
• Experience running and improving operational processes
