Job Description

BetterHelp is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence & Analytics Engineer to develop data tools, ensuring scalability and stakeholder trust. This role involves cross-functional collaboration, optimizing the data stack, and translating stakeholder needs into data models.

Responsibilities

• Design and build trusted tables in the data warehouse using dbt
• Lead end-to-end dimensional modeling efforts
• Translate stakeholder needs into data models and downstream experiences in Looker
• Act as a subject matter expert for cross-functional teams
• Support self-service, improve data discovery and lineage, and foster trust in data assets
• Partner with data and machine learning engineers

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of experience with business intelligence (BI) tools
• 3+ years of experience using dbt for in-warehouse data transformations
• Strong technical abilities in SQL
• Deep understanding of analytical data models
• Excellent communication skills and effective time management
• Experience providing mentorship and conducting team pull request (PR) reviews
• Strong knowledge of data testing
• Experience with version control using Git
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
