Job Description

FalconX is seeking an experienced General Counsel to join the executive team, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer. The ideal candidate will have experience in addressing regulatory and corporate legal issues within the financial services industry, specifically for prime brokers and/or institutional trading businesses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations affecting the company
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks
• Advise the executive team on corporate governance matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
• Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution processes
• Provide legal advice on business strategies and initiatives
• Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in the regulatory environment
• Support M&A activities
• Provide legal guidance on other corporate development activities
• Lead and manage the legal team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives

Requirements

• Extensive experience addressing regulatory and corporate legal issues for prime brokers and institutional trading businesses
• In-depth experience with private credit markets and borrowing and lending structures
• Extensive knowledge and experience in digital assets
• Strong expertise in corporate governance
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Minimum of 12 years of legal experience in the financial services industry
