Job Description

The Weather Company is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and customer-obsessed Enterprise API Product Manager to lead and scale their API portfolio. This role will drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution of their Weather API product, ensuring it meets the needs of developers, businesses, and end-users.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and evolve a diverse set of APIs
  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the weather data API and self-serve platform
  • Collaborate with the API platform team to design, develop, and maintain a scalable, reliable, and secure weather data API
  • Drive the design and execution of the end-to-end product lifecycle
  • Lead the creation and optimization of a self-serve platform
  • Partner with business leadership to execute strategies for API discovery, distribution, and monetization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align roadmap execution and go-to-market strategy
  • Embrace a test-and-learn approach to rapidly experiment, validate concepts, and refine offerings
  • Stay at the forefront of API trends, standards, protocols, and competitive landscape
  • Define and track KPIs to measure product adoption, customer engagement, API performance, and revenue impact

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on API products or developer platforms
  • Proven success in bringing APIs to market, ideally across both direct sales and marketplaces
  • Proven track record of designing and launching self-serve platforms
  • Strong understanding of API design principles, authentication protocols, and developer tooling
  • Deep appreciation for the developer experience and technical documentation standards
  • Business-savvy and commercially minded with experience crafting pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies
  • Analytical and data-driven
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Scrappy, self-starter attitude with a bias for action and ownership
  • Passionate about solving customer problems and delivering frictionless, scalable solutions
