Job Description

Lucid Motors seeks an Industrial Engineering Manager to lead and scale industrial engineering efforts within the Powertrain organization, optimizing processes for Drive Unit, Inverter, and related powertrain components. The role involves managing a team, implementing solutions, developing planning tools, improving systems, driving lean methodologies, and supporting new product introductions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Senior Industrial Engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Develop strategic production planning tools
• Own and improve Industrial Engineering systems
• Drive the deployment of lean manufacturing methodologies
• Review and validate cost-saving initiatives and performance KPIs
• Lead the planning and implementation of new product introductions
• Support the development of manufacturing instructions and factory layout designs
• Partner with leadership to define departmental strategy

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of relevant experience in high-volume or complex manufacturing environments
• 2+ years of people leadership experience
• Deep expertise in time/motion studies and capacity modeling
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Proficiency in data analysis and layout design software
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing principles
• Familiarity with automated manufacturing processes and MES systems is a plus
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred
• Experience in both start-up and scale manufacturing environments is preferred
• Understanding of controls, automation, or process integration within a powertrain context is preferred
