Job Description

True Anomaly seeks an EHS Manager to lead EHS programs at Long Beach, CA and Centennial, CO locations, ensuring compliance with regulations, developing safety systems, and fostering a safety culture. The role involves managing compliance, risk, emergency preparedness, training, and reporting KPIs to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage EHS programs for hardware development, manufacturing, and testing
• Draft and implement policies complying with regulations
• Standardize safety procedures and documentation
• Serve as liaison to regulatory agencies
• Lead permitting for hazardous waste, air emissions, and explosive materials
• Maintain compliance with hazardous waste requirements and manage multi-jurisdictional regulatory programs
• Ensure CUPA-related compliance
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Develop and maintain site-specific Emergency Action Plans
• Coordinate evacuation drills and emergency exercises
• Build and sustain a proactive safety culture
• Design, develop, and deliver EHS training materials
• Establish and lead safety committees
• Monitor, analyze, and report KPIs and incident trends
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Use EHS data to identify patterns and drive safety improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Minimum of 10 years of EHS experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing
• Deep working knowledge of relevant regulations
• Extensive experience managing hazardous waste programs
• Proven experience with CUPA agencies
• Strong experience creating and delivering technical EHS training materials
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in startup environments
• Expertise in hazardous materials handling, PPE strategies, LOTO, chemical safety, and job hazard analysis
• Strong communication skills
