Job Description

As a Technical Operations Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding a talented team. You'll manage daily operations, provide expert technical support, and lead the development of innovative processes. Your leadership will drive day-to-day including workload management, technical support, training, process development, staff development, and ensuring the team remains at the forefront of the industry's technological advancements.

Responsibilities

  • Assign work and set priorities to ensure team productivity and effectiveness
  • Balance customer requirements with downstream risks to deliver parts on schedule
  • Identify areas for improvement, implement and ensure sustainment of improvement measures
  • Exhibit ownership of Tech Ops processes and monitor metrics
  • Continuously dissect performance to identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with management, cross-functional teams, and Software Development to improve processes
  • Assist management with defining work standards and measures
  • Perform HR tasks such as recruiting, performance management, training, recognition, and corrective actions
  • Resolve interdepartmental technical issues and provide expert solutions
  • Assess resource needs and assist with resource allocation
  • Analyze parts to process prototyping and production quotes and orders
  • Ensure team complies with quality and safety standards
  • Adhere to company policies and operational procedures
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating company-specific software in a Technical Operations role
  • Knowledge and understanding of analysis and manufacturing processes in at least 2 major 3DP technology areas (SLA/AP/PLY, MJF/SLS, or DMLS)
  • Ability to gain and retain respect of direct reports and other employees
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer engagement skills
  • Ability to represent the technical operations department with respect and professionalism
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to groups of various sizes and leadership levels
