Job Description

We are seeking a Lead of Suburban Growth to take charge of solving one of Taskrabbit’s largest puzzles: how to unlock meaningful, scalable growth in suburban pockets where we already operate but see massive opportunity. These areas, often overlooked next to their metro core’s, hold untapped potential for high-margin growth and long-term client value due to their Client profile. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving difficult growth problems, can blend data with local insight and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to build hyperlocal, custom growth strategies. You’ll define the Suburban Playbook, combining research, channel testing, and go-to-market experimentation to help us crack the code on supply and demand in these market suburbs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify high-potential suburban pockets within Cornerstone and Momentum metros and deploy strategies to increase revenue.
  • Build suburb-specific GTM strategies that account for unique behaviors, needs and intent.
  • Conduct user and market research to understand suburban barriers and unlock targeted messaging, category focus and engagement tactics.
  • Pilot grassroots awareness channels like Facebook groups, local PR, NextDoor, universities and neighborhood communities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to merchandise suburb-appropriate categories and adapt SEM strategies to improve CPJs.
  • Work with Analytics and TSMs to close the invoice ratio gaps.
  • Reassess and redefine suburban groupings.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in growth, strategy, or operations roles in a consumer platform or marketplace business.
  • Experience diagnosing and solving underperformance problems in existing markets with an emphasis on supply and demand imbalances.
  • Strong intuition for local nuance, with the ability to differentiate between a suburb and its city core.
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional strategies that blend data, research and experimentation.
  • Skilled at balancing analytical rigor with a scrappy execution mindset across new and traditional channels.
  • Bias for action and a drive to make underperforming markets work.
  • Experience using Sigma, Looker, or similar BI tools.
