Job Description

Anaplan is seeking a Partner Sales Director to lead the Consumer (CPG & Retail) segment in the Americas. This role is responsible for driving Anaplan's partner sales strategy, developing a detailed Consumer partner strategy & business plan, and contributing to the development and evangelism of the Global Partners & Alliances strategy. Success is tied to meeting/exceeding Americas industry-specific sales goals through sourced and co-sold revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Anaplan's partner sales strategy in conjunction with North America Alliance Leaders, Partner & Alliance Teams, Anaplan Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing.
  • Develop a detailed Consumer partner strategy & business plan to meet/exceed Americas industry-specific sales goals.
  • Contribute to the development and evangelism of the Global Partners & Alliances strategy.
  • Manage policies/plans to avoid conflict with partners in direct and indirect channels.
  • Communicate clear rules of engagement and drive pipeline management governance with internal teams and partners.
  • Help illuminate new market opportunities, ensure a high-impact solution play portfolio, and ensure partner collaboration.
  • Work with Anaplan field sales to identify potential new partnership opportunities.
  • Build a comprehensive network/relationship map of Anaplan partner leaders.
  • Create awareness of partners' capabilities with Anaplan's sales teams.
  • Develop marketing, enablement, and go-to-market programs.
  • Identify and drive solution offerings that provide value to Anaplan.
  • Manage the day-to-day, field-level relationship and pipeline management of channel partners.
  • Facilitate and extend relationships with thought leaders and change agents at impactful partners.
  • Manage and monitor compliance/hygiene of all sales processes.
  • Ensure accurate data (e.g., pipeline, origination, co-sell, resell, cloud) are correctly tagged.

Requirements

  • Experience in Cloud and SaaS software sales, consulting, customer support, and/or partner management.
  • Strategic problem-solving and execution-oriented skills.
  • Industry knowledge and ability to collaborate with global system integrators and C-suite leaders.
  • Prioritization of an intense workload and identification of high-return opportunities.
  • Track record in sales and go-to-market execution.
  • Metrics-driven approach to measuring, managing, and adjusting goals.
  • Ability to multitask across objectives, service lines, sales reps, leadership, partners, marketing, and product functions.
  • Established trusted, deep relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience in Business Development, including alliance establishment, alliance management, and marketing.
  • Experience in identifying market opportunities and instigating go-to-market plans.
  • Commercially astute and ability to promote the Anaplan proposition.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence all levels of an organization.
