Job Description

Grammarly is seeking a Security Engineer to join their Platform Security team. This role will play a crucial role in maintaining user trust by implementing security enhancements throughout the back-end and underlying infrastructure. The ideal candidate will develop and implement security processes, partner with other teams, experiment with AI-based tools, define and monitor metrics, educate team members, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security processes for cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with Cloud Infra, Data, and Product Engineering teams to define secure environments.
• Experiment with and develop AI-based security tools.
• Define and monitor impactful security metrics.
• Educate and mentor team members on security best practices.
• Collaborate and build trust with stakeholders on security matters.

Requirements

• 6+ years experience securing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proven experience automating secure infrastructure with Terraform (or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD infrastructure, containerization (Docker, K8s), and associated risks.
• Understanding of zero-trust and IAM principles for human and non-human identities.
• Familiarity with software engineering or scripting (Python, Java, or Go).
• Ability to think like an adversary to identify and mitigate risks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Possess EAGER values (ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable).
