Job Description

North Point Technology is seeking an experienced TS/SCI Cleared Software Engineer to provide support to a mission critical enterprise identity and access management system. A successful candidate will provide Agile DevOps support to mission critical systems. As a Software Development Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems and software utilizing cloud capabilities and gain agile development experience in support of an Enterprise cybersecurity program.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software programming initiatives using JavaScript, Java, and/or Python
• Execute software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon
• Create software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies
• Develop and deploy prototypes and solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions
• Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices
• Apply DevOps tools like Ansible, Docker, and Jenkins to support automated deployment and containerization
• Directly support deployment of build artifacts across a multitude of customer environments
• Leverage Atlassian tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence to track development activities, control source code, and author documentation
• Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers
• Communicate key project data to team members and build team cohesion and effectiveness
• Mentor / assist junior members of the team
• Provide input/suggestions on technical approach to the Agile Team Leads

Requirements

• Active TS clearance required to start; SCI with CI Poly eligible
• BS degree with 2 to 4 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience with coding in JavaScript; additional experience with Java, Python, and/or Bash desired
• Experience in Linux OS scripting
• Experience in Database setup and integration, both relational and NoSQL
• Experience in Cloud infrastructure platforms
• Experience in DevOps automation tools
• Experience in Source control and Agile development tools
• Experience in Analytics and search engines
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience as a member of an agile software development team
• Knowledge of software design patterns
• Proficiency with MS Office Products
