Job Description

Anduril Industries seeks a Head of Software for their Space team to lead software development, ensuring technical alignment, and driving innovation in space systems. This role involves managing a team, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring successful program execution.

Responsibilities

• Own software development across the space business line
• Ensure appropriate staffing and deliver on customer requirements
• Support technical execution of new software and space vehicle systems
• Lead long-term functional engineering team development roadmap
• Collaborate across teams for complex functionality
• Coordinate with end-users and customers
• Support challenging schedules
• Establish a center of excellence in space software design
• Find, hire, manage, and mentor experts
• Partner with business lines in areas of proposal capture
• Ensure resource plans are adequate

Requirements

• Strong engineering background
• Ability to understand and navigate complex systems
• Capable of solving complex technical problems
• Clear communication and organizational skills
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance
• 10+ years of experience in a senior software role
• Experience with testing/validation
• Exposure to spacecraft and subsystem test procedures
• Experience creating teams
• Deep understanding of space systems design
