Job Description

The Supplier Development Engineer is a cross-functional position that enables development and production flow of Anduril’s critical supply base. They work with internal departments and suppliers to execute supply chain strategies to achieve production goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage specific categories/subcategories to execute supplier production strategies
• Be a force multiplier for the Supply Chain team and overall Category strategy
• Vet Suppliers' production capabilities for inclusion in Approved Supplier List
• Support Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring Suppliers' understanding and adherence to quality criteria
• Own bringing up new production tooling & lines at Supplier sites
• Own capacity expansion readiness and production ramp-up at Supplier
• Establish and drive process performance and controls reviews at Supplier
• Identify and drive product and process improvements at Supplier sites
• Support SQE with root cause task force at Anduril by working in tandem with the Supply Chain team, Suppliers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related technical field
• 2+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with specific category technical expertise, as applicable, PCBA manufacturing, IPC standards, SMT processing, CAD, GD&T
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
• Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
• Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or another related industry
• Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
