Job Description

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, integrate, build, and test Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). The role involves leading mechanical systems development, collaborating with other disciplines, and contributing to process improvements. Candidates should have experience in hardware development, strong leadership skills, and a passion for subsea robotics.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, build, and test Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs)
• Lead mechanical systems and platform development
• Define requirements and propose solutions for mechanical systems
• Collaborate with other disciplines
• Spearhead design reviews and conduct analysis
• Contribute to the enhancement of team tools and processes

Requirements

• 3+ years in a technical engineering role
• Maritime experience
• Proven CAD skills (NX preferred)
• FEA/CFD Software (ANSYS, OpenFOAM)
• MATLAB/SIMULINK/SIMSCAPE experience
• Manufacturing knowledge
• Rapid prototyping background
• Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
