Job Description

Anduril Industries seeks a Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MSA) Engineer to develop and maintain virtual representations of vehicles. The role involves developing and deploying vehicle models and simulation instantiations, collaborating with experts, and owning the configuration of SITL, HITL, and PITL for test vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop simulation solutions for Guidance, Navigation, and Control algorithm development
  • Develop Software-In-The-Loop (SITL), Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL), and Pilot-In-The-Loop (PITL) solutions
  • Develop customer product training solutions
  • Perform Monte-Carlo simulation analysis
  • Develop simulation and test data analysis tools and processes
  • Model sub-system, system, and system of system dynamics
  • Understand simulation requirements and develop modeling and simulation solutions
  • Configure SITL, HITL, and PITL for test vehicles

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or related technical discipline
  • Experience with aerospace/aeronautical systems (including rotorcraft/VTOL) and/or Subsea vehicles
  • Experience in flight dynamics/platform physics and control
  • Proficiency with C/C++
  • Advanced proficiency with scientific computing systems (Mathworks products (e.g., MATLAB, SIMULINK etc.), scientific Python (e.g., numpy, scipy)
  • Flight test data processing/sim correlation experience
  • Experience with developing sub-system and system level models
  • Experience with model development to support Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithm development
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
