Job Description

Anduril Industries seeks a Principal Software Engineer for its Connected Warfare Division to develop systems for global command and control missions. The role involves solving complex problems in networking, autonomy, and systems integration, ensuring Anduril products work seamlessly. The engineer will deliver well-architected systems, collaborate across teams, and contribute to critical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own software spanning Mission Command
• Deliver well-architected systems through clear interfaces
• Champion test-ability, portability, monitoring, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Generate software solutions from problem definition to delivery
• Collaborate across multiple teams
• Triage issues, root cause failures, and coordinate next-steps
• Travel up to 10% of time

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, Rust, Go, JavaScript
• Ability to understand and navigate complex systems
• Desire to work on critical software
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
• Experience designing APIs for use in distributed systems
• Experience building modeling and simulation environments
• Familiarity with modern build and deployment tooling
• Familiarity with industry standard cloud platforms
• Deep understanding of how computers and networks work
• Professional software development lifecycle experience
• Familiarity with industry standard monitoring, logging, and data management tools
