Job Description

Verkada seeks a driven Enterprise Account Executive to acquire new business in the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market, focusing on the NOVA region. This role involves developing sales strategies, managing the sales process, and achieving sales targets, with a strong emphasis on new customer acquisition and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Dedicate time to field-based sales activities
  • Develop and implement territory plans
  • Manage the entire sales process to meet targets
  • Meet or exceed individual targets and contribute to team success
  • Initiate and manage expansion discussions
  • Devise customer acquisition strategy and partner with channel sales
  • Drive business growth through customer engagements and marketing
  • Gain in-depth understanding of Verkada's products
  • Create presentations and proposals, negotiate pricing, and provide forecasts

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of quota-carrying software/hardware sales experience
  • 2+ years selling to the Public Sector (SLED)
  • Strong field presence and willingness to travel
  • Proven track record of prospecting and closing new accounts
  • Experience developing customer relationships within SLED accounts
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles
  • Experience collaborating with channel partners is a plus
  • Relevant industry experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of MEDDIC is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS/BA degree strongly preferred
