Job Description

As a member of the Business Systems Engineering team, you will build or improve tools used daily by external customers, partners, and internal go-to-market teams. The goal is to find bottlenecks and friction points, drive process improvements, and come up with technical solutions. The team is the custodian of data used by sales, order, and finance support teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement technical solutions using Cloud Based Technologies such as AWS, Salesforce, or GCP
• Build tools and features that enable Partners to better transact with Verkada
• Improve systems observability and invest in reliability & correctness of data
• Develop customer empathy to propose improvements to systems
• Lead projects from ideation to release
• Help and mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering with a focus on web-based tools with excellent user experience
• 3+ years of experience working on the Salesforce platform
• Shipped customer-facing products or internal tools in the past
• Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment
• Passion for observability and reliability
• Full stack software engineering experience with the ability to work on the latest front-end technologies built on cloud infrastructure like React, TypeScript, and Redux
• AWS Cloud experience touching foundational blocks like: Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Airflow, Athena, DynamoDB, VPC, and EC2
