Job Description

Reddit seeks a Senior Data Scientist to join the Ads Data Science team, leveraging data to enhance the advertising platform. The role involves developing and applying data science models, analyzing data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving improvements in advertiser experience and platform performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and apply data science solutions to improve advertiser experience and platform performance
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define product requirements
• Develop ML models to improve anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition
• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
• Stay updated on advancements in machine learning and data science
• Mentor junior data scientists

Requirements

• MS or PhD in a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, causal inference, and experimental design
• Experience with large-scale data processing tools like Spark, Hadoop, or Hive
• Proficiency in Python or R and experience with machine learning libraries
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Passion for Reddit and the online advertising industry
