Job Description

This role will be responsible for shaping, leading, and executing the global internal communications strategy of Kong. You will create a communication approach, tools and processes that bring out our values and Leadership Principles. The outcome of the communication should make employees experience a cohesive, transparent, low hierarchy, high speed and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Refine and execute internal communications strategy
  • Tailor the strategy for diverse teams and regions
  • Partner with senior leadership to advise on and create clear, effective communication strategies
  • Develop initiatives to drive employee engagement and reinforce the company's culture
  • Lead communication efforts during company changes, crises, or important transitions
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content for internal channels
  • Manage and optimize internal communication channels
  • Define key metrics for measuring the effectiveness of internal communications and employee engagement
  • Work closely with the People teams
  • Support diverse teams in various regions with localized communications
  • Additional tasks required by manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications in a global company
  • Leadership experience is a plus with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of developing and executing internal communications strategies in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments, preferably in tech
  • Strong understanding of communication strategies and best practices
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with a variety of communication tools and platforms
  • Ability to lead a team, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects
  • Experience working in global or geographically distributed teams and understanding the nuances of communicating across cultures and time zones
