Job Description

Kong is seeking an Enterprise Territory Sales Executive to drive growth by landing new clients, retaining customers, and expanding accounts in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting. The role involves developing sales strategies, managing the sales cycle, collaborating with internal teams, and building relationships with key decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to target mid-market and enterprise customers
  • Own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless sales experience
  • Identify customer pain points and deliver customized product demos
  • Build and nurture relationships with C-level executives
  • Lead account planning efforts
  • Monitor and manage sales activities and results
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings
  • Contribute to business growth initiatives
  • Represent Kong at industry events and meetings

Requirements

  • 5+ years of closing experience with 1-2 years facing enterprise customers
  • Proven track record of closing complex deals in a SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software environment
  • Demonstrated success in selling to large enterprises
  • Strong consultative selling skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Results-driven mindset
  • Experience working with CRM platforms
  • Knowledge of open-source software, APIs, or infrastructure software is highly advantageous
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Analytical and strategic thinking
