Job Description

Develops power electronics circuits and systems for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems, from concept to production, including product roadmaps, block diagrams, part selection, schematic design, PCB layout and routing, analysis, manufacturing, test, qualification, and in-orbit support.

Responsibilities

• Design power electronics circuits and systems
• Design isolated and non-isolated DC-DC converters
• Design maximum power point tracking solar power converters
• Design magnetics, system-level power management and distribution
• Design point-of-load regulators, switching and linear regulators, filters
• Perform stability analysis and measurement
• Manage hardware designs from concept through production
• Present engineering design review materials
• Participate in proposal-writing efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 11 years of experience in power electronics design, analysis, test, and troubleshooting
• Experience designing power system architectures
• Expertise in power circuit analysis
• Expert-level proficiency in electronics design (EDA) tools such as Altium
• Expert-level proficiency in PCB layout for power circuits
• Experience with SPICE-based circuit simulation
• Experience with power integrity simulation tools
• Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
