Job Description

Seeking a Senior Electronics Manufacturing Engineer II to develop manufacturing processes for high-reliability, high-volume satellites in a startup environment. Responsibilities include establishing the manufacturing of Cesium’s NPI satellite platform, collaborating with design and engineering teams, and ensuring quality control.

Responsibilities

• Establish manufacturing of Cesium’s NPI satellite platform
• Contribute to facility layout design, equipment selection, and workflow optimization
• Support transition of prototypes to full-scale production
• Develop and implement quality control procedures
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Be a manufacturing representative to outside CM’s

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 6+ years of experience
• Experience with DFM of electronics hardware
• Knowledge of industry standards like IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
• Knowledge of mechanical assembly, CNC machining
• Experience with change management, nonconformance documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective action systems
• Experience with cost analysis, managing suppliers, and configuration management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in an NPI Environment
• Ability to establish scalable manufacturing processes
