Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Manager to manage inventory for manufacturing operations, focusing on the aerospace industry. This role involves establishing robust inventory processes, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring customer demands are met while maintaining quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate procurement and inventory control functions
  • Develop project plans and schedules to monitor supplier progress
  • Collaborate with other departments for procurement and inventory control
  • Develop a process of identifying and tracking action items
  • Present supplier technical, cost, and schedule progress at customer meetings
  • Identify and track supplier non-conformances
  • Handle communications and negotiations with vendors and suppliers
  • Track procurement and inventory control effectiveness
  • Analyze procurement and inventory data to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Maintain procurement and inventory records
  • Report and analyze inventory inaccuracies and trends
  • Assist with additional functions as necessary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control or materials management, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
  • Experience with inventory management software and ERP systems
  • Proven track record of process improvements
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials (up to 40 lbs)
