Job Description

CesiumAstro seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to improve processes using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. The role involves analyzing procedures, maintaining quality directives, and interfacing with internal teams to drive corrective actions and optimize production.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and addresses improvement opportunities
• Leads process improvement workshops
• Mentors lean practitioner candidates
• Develops and drives Value Stream Mapping and continuous improvement roadmaps
• Ensures lean activities align with goals
• Provides guidance on Lean and/or Six Sigma principles
• Plans and leads employee development training
• Performs machine capability and test equipment studies
• Supports quality audits
• Supports the development and implementation of performance metrics
• Assists with other QA duties

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience
• Experience with continuous quality improvement activities
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 compliance
• Demonstrated history of leading Kaizen events
• Strong communication skills
• Root Cause analysis and Continuous Improvement
• Value Stream Mapping
• Lean Six Sigma
