Job Description

The Construction Manager is responsible for supervising field construction, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality. This involves reviewing project details, generating cost estimates, managing schedules, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review project details and generate cost estimates
• Evaluate specifications for scheduling and staffing
• Estimate scope of work and obtain bids
• Examine contract documents for issues
• Assist in schedule development and updates
• Plan and review construction programs
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors and suppliers
• Verify subcontractor contractual requirements
• Ensure permits and safety notices are obtained
• Direct inspection agencies and effect remedial actions
• Review subcontractor daily reports
• Participate in monthly requisitions
• Supervise vendors, contractors, and subcontractors
• Supervise CIM support personnel

Requirements

• Minimum five years' experience in real estate construction
• Understanding of building codes and regulations
• Knowledge of construction project management principles
• Prior experience working with contractors and subcontractors
• Experience with MS Project
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts
