Job Description

The General Manager will be responsible for managing, directing, and coordinating operations for the assigned asset(s) and ensuring corporate and ownership objectives are met. The General Manager is accountable for protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of assigned asset(s) to maximize the owners’ financial return and for the benefit of the tenants, consumers, and the communities in which those assets are located.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate operational activities of the assigned asset(s)
• Ensure successful development and execution of the annual business plan
• Manage financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Oversee the specialty leasing program
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external parties
• Partner with the development team on development activities
• Oversee marketing activities
• Analyze challenges to business plan initiatives and develop improvement plans
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and process insurance claims
• Administer contracts and leases
• Prepare and submit monthly reports
• Exhibit a creative approach to problem-solving
• Mentor and support direct reports
• Hire, train, and supervise on-site property management team personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 7-10 years’ experience in property/asset management
• Real Estate license
• High level of communication, organizational, and management skills
• Ability to develop and present annual Business Plan
• Understanding of financial statements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Yardi and Angus
• Meet or exceed Net Operating Income goals
• Effective financial management and oversight of center operations
• Positive, innovative approach to problem solving
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner with a high level of accuracy
