Job Description

The Residential Maintenance Technician reports to the Property Manager and performs general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment units and other property facilities are maintained per CIM Group operating and safety standards. Responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC units; electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders within 24 hours
• Complete preventive maintenance
• Coordinate repair and/or maintenance of doors, appliances, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, flooring, walls, and ceilings
• Examine and diagnose HVAC problems
• Perform plumbing repairs
• Perform electrical repairs
• Repair and replace kitchen appliances
• Perform painting projects
• Prepare vacant units
• Perform swimming pool maintenance
• Adhere to safety programs
• Maintain maintenance office

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• 1-3 years of facility maintenance experience
• HVAC experience
• EPA Type II or Universal and/or Pool Certification
• MS Office skills
