Job Description

The Building Engineer supports the daily operations of all building systems, including maintenance, repair, and operation of HVAC and mechanical/electrical systems. They respond to customer requests, submit work orders, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Support daily building system operations
• Maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVACR systems
• Respond to HVAC requests from tenants
• Complete paperwork and prepare reports
• Assist in emergencies
• Comply with safety and company policies
• Participate in training
• Assist in training other employees
• Work overtime as needed

Requirements

• High school graduate
• 3+ years' HVAC experience
• Preferred technical school certification
• Central plant experience
• Class A license (or obtain within 90 days)
• CFC preferred
• Light plumbing skills
• Willingness to perform miscellaneous tasks
• Experience with commercial HVACR equipment
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance tools and materials
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift and carry over 50lbs
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Ability to keep detailed records and complete reports
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to maintain good working relations
• Availability to work shifts and overtime
