Job Description

The Director, Program management and Delivery position oversees the end-to-end delivery of software development projects, ensuring they meet business objectives, are completed on time, and within budget. This role involves mentoring PMs, SMs, teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality software solutions aligned with business needs and technical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Define project goals and deliverables
  • Develop detailed project plans
  • Ensure software development follows Agile methodologies
  • Mentor and coach project managers and teams
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and learning
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend training
  • Maintain regular reporting cadences
  • Act as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams
  • Provide insights on project progress and risks
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and achieve target margins
  • Track and manage financial performance metrics
  • Identify and address factors impacting financial performance
  • Streamline processes for optimization and cost savings
  • Implement automation and best practices
  • Negotiate vendor contracts

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in software development and project delivery
  • Experience leading and mentoring agile software development teams
  • Hands-on experience with SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and development methodologies
  • Proficiency in Agile tools
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Financial acumen
  • Technical expertise in programming languages and frameworks
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Agilist
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince2
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
