The Field Service Engineer will travel to customer sites to install, service, and repair food processing machinery. They will use technical knowledge to assist with testing and troubleshooting complex installations, and generate technical reports.
Responsibilities
Install, service, and repair food processing machinery
Be flexible with scheduling, including weekends
Travel frequently, including overnight stays
Support customer satisfaction with maintenance and repair of equipment
Inspect equipment to detect issues
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic control systems
Work as part of a collaborative team
Manage spare parts inventory
Maintain customer equipment repair and maintenance records
Foster and maintain excellent relations with customers
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of pneumatic hydraulic power systems or control systems
Minimum of two years of mechanical or electrical repair experience
Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, AC and DC servo drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Technically and mechanically proficient
Strong, active listening skills
Ability to use logic and reasoning
Ability to read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, and manuals
Ability to communicate and present information
Strong deductive reasoning skills
Ability to speak clearly and persuasively
Strong attention to detail with strong organization and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure with limited direction
