Job Description

The Data team at Zoox leverages data from autonomous vehicles and operations to determine autonomy and service readiness. The Senior Data Scientist will partner with AI, simulation, and mission assurance teams to drive improvements and inform development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the mission assurance team to validate software safety
• Define key performance metrics for service and ride quality
• Identify key areas of investment for perception, prediction, and planning teams
• Establish best practices and statistical rigor around data-driven decision-making

Requirements

• Experience driving decision-making
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, R, or Scala
• Experience in analyzing time series data and developing models for forecasting/anomaly detection
• Sound statistical inference skills
• Experience designing metrics and building mechanisms for business insights
