Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will evaluate and achieve manufacturability KPIs by consulting with R&D on optimal product design. This role focuses on component-level parts for General Assembly, requiring knowledge of product design, production processes, and project management. Responsibilities include influencing product design, collaborating with various departments, identifying risks, and ensuring assembly requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Improve product design and enable stable manufacturing processes
  • Identify and implement technical requirements to influence product design
  • Collaborate with various departments on product design
  • Use CAD-Data-Analysis and simulations to identify risks
  • Improve exterior product design for stable processes
  • Ensure products meet assembly requirements
  • Act as a single point of contact for exterior vehicle design
  • Use cross-departmental collaboration to meet company goals
  • Coordinate activities within the team to achieve project goals
  • Provide instruction and guidance on techniques and regulations

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or production planning
  • Deep knowledge of vehicle engineering processes
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Skillful in organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration
  • Creative and strategic problem solver
