Job Description

The Senior Application Security Engineer will maintain and improve the security of EasyPost’s growing logistics ecosystem by identifying and completing security projects, reviewing new product features, and building new security systems and programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, building, and maintenance of security systems and infrastructure
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate security and privacy controls
• Build systems and programs to scale security efficiently
• Embrace DevSecOps patterns
• Design and build key competitive security features
• Build and maintain security alerting infrastructure
• Create and maintain self-service documentation
• Work directly with M&A entities to integrate their products

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
• 8+ years of related experience
• Comfortable writing production-ready code in Python, Ruby, Go, or Rust
• Ability to design simple, maintainable, scalable, and resilient systems
• Prior experience securing large-scale web applications and/or APIs
• Ability to understand and communicate threat modeling and risk management
• Proven history of building strong partnerships with Engineering and Product teams
• Working knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks
• Experience in assessing risk during the vendor management lifecycle
• Deep knowledge of mixed computing environments
• Past experience with migrating applications and services to public cloud providers
