Job Description

Voleon is seeking a Member of Research Staff to apply state-of-the-art AI and machine learning techniques to financial market prediction and portfolio optimization. The role involves developing and implementing predictive models, conducting experiments, and collaborating with a team to drive tangible outcomes. The position requires a strong background in statistical methods and machine learning, with a focus on applying research to real-world financial problems.

Responsibilities

• Propose research innovations and experiments to optimize investment strategy models
• Prepare and analyze new datasets for predictive efficacy
• Develop, validate, and implement new models into production
• Design and conduct experiments to improve simulations
• Communicate and collaborate with other staff and engineers
• Stay updated on the latest academic research

Requirements

• Background in modern statistical methods and machine learning
• Strong mathematical abilities
• Interest in software development (Python and/or R preferred)
• Ability to solve large-scale computing problems
• Eagerness to work in collaborative and diverse teams
• Interest in financial applications
• Ph.D. level coursework required, Ph.D. degree preferred
