Job Description

Voleon is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to develop production trading systems and data pipelines for machine learning. The role involves collaboration with finance and research teams to build a platform supporting diverse requirements and complex trading behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Design real-time distributed trading systems
• Build and optimize large-scale data infrastructure and stream processing systems
• Own observability and remediation tooling
• Integrate with new assets and markets
• Improve the resilience and performance of trading systems
• Develop tooling for data integration
• Lead complex projects across teams
• Mentor and develop other engineers

Requirements

• Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience operating and scaling mission-critical, large-scale production systems
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Track record mentoring engineers and leading technical direction
