Job Description

Sonar is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead the Engineering Team and drive the development of its products. The director will be responsible for technical direction, architecture, and delivery of solutions, leading a team of software engineers and collaborating with product management.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering managers and squads to deliver high-quality software products
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams
• Define and drive the technical direction, architecture, and roadmap of products
• Collaborate with product management to meet customer needs and business objectives
• Work with quality assurance to ensure high standards of quality and reliability
• Ensure best practices in software development, including agile methodologies and automated testing
• Hire and develop top engineering talent and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration
• Help to grow individual engineering managers to lead their teams

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience in leading software development teams with a track record of delivering high-quality software products
• Strong technical background in software development, with experience in Java, JavaScript, or other programming languages
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Experience with agile development methodologies, continuous integration and delivery, and automated testing
