Job Description

As a Developer Advocate at Sonar, you will be a thought leader for code quality, educating developers through various forums. You will create technical content, build relationships within the developer community, and collaborate with internal teams to improve products.

Responsibilities

• Engage and build mindshare with developers through thought leadership and tactical content
• Strengthen collaboration with communities and projects
• Create technical content such as blogs, podcasts, and videos
• Develop unique demos with vendors and partners
• Host meetups, workshops, and speak at conferences
• Promote and drive attendance for company events
• Establish relationships with technology communities
• Provide feedback on products from the community
• Advocate for code quality and security
• Enhance ecosystem engagement

Requirements

• 10+ years as a technologist in roles like developer advocate or software engineer
• Computer science degree or equivalent experience
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, DevOps, and CI/CD
• Passionate about designing and delivering high-quality software
• Understanding of Technical Debt management
• Prior experience presenting to technical audiences
• Experience in programming languages like Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or C#
• Demonstrated experience in technical writing
• Track record of speaking at technical conferences
• Growing following on social media platforms
• Exceptional communication skills
