Job Description

As a Staff Cloud Platform Engineer at Sonar, you will design and develop cloud-based solutions, migrate applications to cloud-native ones, and implement scalable services. You will work in sprints, collaborate with other squads, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate cloud solutions on AWS with a focus on automation, performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
• Participate in the definition of cloud solution designs and lead their development
• Work in sprints with other engineers to deliver new features
• Collaborate with other squads to ensure solutions fit into the Sonar platform
• Contribute to the investigation of alarms, SLOs, and incidents

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with architecting, developing, and operating cloud solutions on AWS
• In-depth knowledge of AWS networking and services like CloudFront, CloudWatch, Lambda, EC2, ECS, SNS, SQS, and RDS
• Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK (preferred), or Terraform
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or similar
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or similar
• Strong DevOps mindset
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Ability to lead a subject from beginning to end
• Open-minded and positive attitude
• Comfortable with change and complexity
• Self-confident and able to give and receive feedback
• Team player with the ability to work alone
• Enjoy exploring and learning new technologies
