Job Description

Responsible for ensuring air induction and exhaust systems meet program targets for the Harvester range extender Powertrain integral to the Scout Terra pick-up and Traveler SUV platform. This role involves technical liaison with engineering services contractors, Tier 1 suppliers, and internal Volkswagen Group partners.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure air induction and exhaust systems meet program targets
  • Act as technical liaison between engineering services contractors, Tier 1 suppliers, and internal Volkswagen Group partners
  • Approve and/or release 3D CAD and 2D drawings
  • Collaborate with Powertrain Development & Validation colleagues
  • Manage implementation of engineering changes
  • Manage delivery of prototype hardware builds
  • Develop documentation for external engineering partners
  • Be a source of powertrain knowledge

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Strong technical fundamentals of internal combustion engine operation
  • 4+ years of experience with design release and/or development of air induction, hot end exhaust and cold end exhaust systems
  • Familiar with relevant North American emissions standards
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with gasoline engine calibration (preferred)
