Job Description

Scout Motors is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead Energy System On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) development for electric and PHEV vehicles, focusing on high voltage battery, charging, and thermal systems. The role involves utilizing OBD regulations, establishing an OBD roadmap, collaborating with engineering teams, and maintaining OBD content.

Responsibilities

  • Lead OBD development for energy systems
  • Provide guidance on OBD regulations
  • Establish an OBD roadmap
  • Define and agree upon OBD execution
  • Integrate OBD efforts with engineering teams
  • Generate and maintain OBD content
  • Maintain OBD requirements
  • Guide the development of OBD processes and tools
  • Develop and manage OBD DVP(s)
  • Participate in calibration development trips

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant engineering field
  • 7+ years of OBD engineering experience
  • Expertise in calibration tools and methodologies
  • Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of battery systems and vehicle systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
