Job Description

The Security Technician installs, maintains, and services security systems, including Access Control, Video Management, Intrusion Detection, and Intercom Systems. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure their security needs are met through the effective implementation and support of advanced security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure security systems
• Run cabling and wiring
• Mount and align security hardware
• Perform system maintenance and servicing
• Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions
• Update system software and firmware
• Provide technical support and assistance to clients
• Conduct user training sessions
• Respond to service calls and client inquiries
• Test and verify system functionality
• Perform system diagnostics and generate reports
• Ensure compliance with industry standards
• Maintain accurate records
• Document system configurations
• Prepare service reports
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers
• Communicate with clients
• Participate in team meetings
• Stay updated with security technologies
• Participate in training programs
• Identify opportunities for process improvement

Requirements

• Experience with security system installation and troubleshooting
• Strong technical skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with Lenel, Milestone, RS2, DSX, Brivo, Pelco, Exacq Vision, Interlogix, Bosch, DMP, or Aiphone
